Our Story

The business name, Born & Raised Renovation, is an ode to Christopher’s father Ed, and his upbringing. He was born in a 19th century brownstone in Brooklyn, New York whose father owned and operated a small painting and carpentry business.

Some of Christopher’s earliest memories were the opportunity to play around and explore in a gut renovation that his father worked on at nights and weekends in that same brownstone he lived in whilst running his business during the day.

By the time, he was barely double digits in age, he was sweeping up his father’s job sites for a couple of bucks and painting closets as that is the only thing hid Dad trusted him with at such a young age. His father was able to instill in him from a young age how important it was to be detailed and meticulous about the product they were putting forward.

And ultimately, the power of how the most minute detail can leave a lasting impression on a renovation for generations to come. Fast forward almost three decades later and Christopher is still applying those ideals his father impressed upon him to his clients today.

Our Values

We want to provide a relationship that is trusting, worthwhile and beneficial to both parties. Where accountability, responsiveness, and overall consideration is our top priority. Our goal is to take your dream, your vision and your aspirations about your personal living space and bring them to life.

More often than not, we hear horror stories of people’s experiences with home improvement contractors. They never show up; they are disorganized; the craftsmanship is sub-par; we do not trust them; they don’t do what they say they are going to do and the worst case, they took our money and we never saw or heard from them again. These stories prove more and more each day to be the rule. We at Born & Raised Renovation, work very hard to be the exception.

We don’t hide that fact that renovation is not like you see you HGTV. It can long, cumbersome and stressful when added to the daily grind of work and family life. That is why it is our top priority to try to alleviate that stress in any way possible. We will both know that we have succeeded when you as the client can look back and say that it was all worth it!
